Job Description
**Job Title** ServiceNow CMDB Analyst **Role Summary** Leverage 3+ years of ServiceNow expertise to maintain, enhance, and govern the CMDB and Knowledge Management modules. Ensure data integrity, service visibility, and knowledge accessibility across ITOM, ITSM, and enterprise units by configuring Discovery, Service Mapping, MID Servers, and integration connectors. **Expectations** - Deliver accurate, clean CMDB data and compliant knowledge assets. - Conduct regular audits, resolve anomalies, and enforce governance policies. - Architect and refine CMDB design standards aligned with Common Service Data Model (CSDM). - Design Knowledge Management frameworks and workflows following KCS or similar best practices. - Manage integrations with external sources (SCCM, Intune, Workspace One UEM, Tanium, Kandji, etc.). - Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non‑technical stakeholders. - Prioritize multi‑tasking and drive issue resolution to completion. **Key Responsibilities** - Administer CMDB; define CI classes, relationships, and attributes. - Perform data quality checks using CMDB Health dashboards; eliminate orphan, stale, or duplicate CIs. - Validate CI data with asset, operations, and infrastructure teams; align to CSDM. - Audit CMDB governance policies, procedures, and compliance activities. - Manage ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping schedules; maintain MID Server lifecycle. - Configure protocols (WMI, SSH, SNMP, PowerShell) and expose integrations via REST/SOAP APIs. - Build and maintain Knowledge Management workflows, approval processes, and article lifecycle. - Create and maintain knowledge base structure (categories, templates, metadata). - Support Knowledge‑Centred Service (KCS) initiatives. - Provide design recommendations and document technical requirements for enhancement requests. **Required Skills** - ServiceNow platform administration (CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, Knowledge). - MID Server installation, configuration, and management. - Data integration via Service Graph Connectors or custom connectors (SCCM, Intune, UEM, Tanium, Kandji). - Proficiency with protocols: WMI, SSH, SNMP, PowerShell. - Experience with CSDM frameworks and KCS best practices. - Strong analytical, technical leadership, and problem‑solving skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work with cross‑functional teams. - Organizational acumen and capacity to manage multiple priorities. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). - ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or equivalent; additional CMDB, ITIL, or Knowledge Management certifications preferred.
