Job Description
Job Title: Evolved Packet Core Engineer Role Summary: Design, develop, and deliver private LTE/5G core network solutions for regional carriers, managing end‑to‑end architecture, provisioning, SIM management, and integration with smart‑grid capabilities while ensuring security, regulatory compliance, and project delivery within tight deadlines. Expactations: Deliver high‑level and low‑level designs, align solutions with enterprise architecture, comply with security and regulatory requirements, resolve complex network issues, and support all core‑project activities. Key Responsibilities: - Produce HLD/LLD for core network components; complete CIQ and network diagrams. - Facilitate infrastructure configuration changes supporting LLD. - Coordinate with cybersecurity, DGM, and Smart Grid teams to align projects with architecture strategies. - Participate in Architecture Review Board approvals of procedures, policies, and projects. - Conduct security vulnerability assessments and recommend mitigations. - Lead vendor/product selection for DGC initiatives. - Develop acceptance test plans, test specifications, and perform end‑to‑end testing. - Diagnose and resolve complex network issues through root‑cause analysis and corrective actions. - Design and integrate third‑party solutions (device, SIM, profile management). - Partner with SIM vendors for private and roaming SIM profiles. - Enable network sharing via MOCN, MORAN, or home‑routed roaming. - Collaborate with IP planners to assign network parameters to core nodes. - Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and policy requirements. - Adhere to HR and Cybersecurity policies. Required Skills: - Deep knowledge of LTE/EPC, 5G NSA/SA core technologies and 3GPP interfaces. - Expertise in cloud computing, virtualization, and SD‑NN. - Proficiency in subscriber provisioning (CAI3G) and home‑routed LTE roaming. - Familiarity with MC‑PTT (preferred). - Strong communication, interpersonal, and prioritization skills. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred). - 10+ years of 4G/5G core network experience (15+ years preferred). - Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, vendor‑specific 5G or telecom).
