Job Description
Job title: Meeting & Events Bars Assistant – Zero Hours Role Summary: Assist in all bar and waiting duties within the Meetings & Events department of a luxury resort. Deliver exceptional guest service, manage drink service, provide upsells, maintain hygiene standards, and support cross‑outlet operations to ensure seamless event execution. Expectations: - Passion for outstanding guest service. - Enthusiastic, outgoing, and proactive communication with guests and teammates. - Basic sales ability; eager to upsell menu items. - Willingness to learn and follow training programs. Key Responsibilities: - Welcome guests with a friendly and professional manner. - Serve beverages and food items, discussing menu options and upselling. - Clean and maintain bar, seating, and surrounding areas; uphold hygiene and safety standards. - Assist across all resort outlets as needed to support smooth service flow. - Handle tips and gratuities in accordance with resort policy. - Participate in daily briefings, roll‑over handovers, and event run‑throughs. - Maintain inventory of bar supplies and report shortages or quality issues. Required Skills: - Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills. - Basic numeracy for handling cash and bar service. - Team‑player with proactive, can‑do attitude. - Attention to detail in hygiene, presentation, and service standards. - Flexibility and reliability, including working varied shifts and weekends. Required Education & Certifications: - No formal qualifications required. - On‑the‑job training provided; possession of a health & safety or food handling certificate is a plus.
