**Job Title**
Automation Engineer – Test & Production Equipment (F/M)
**Role Summary**
Lead the development and integration of automated test and production equipment. Design architectures, standardize solutions, and drive innovation across internal sites, repair stations, and suppliers. Manage projects from concept to delivery, ensuring technical, cost, and quality objectives are met while maintaining EHS and metrology compliance.
**Expectations**
- Deliver automated solutions that meet performance, schedule, and budget targets.
- Provide expert guidance on technology adoption, architecture, and process optimization.
- Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and cross‑functional teams, including English‑speaking stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Identify automation needs and opportunities within existing processes.
- Enhance digital data continuity using production IT tools.
- Develop proof‑of‑concepts and demonstrators (robotics, 3D printing, assembly, etc.).
- Conduct technology scouting for software and hardware automation.
- Collaborate with Fablab, Datalab, and innovation committees to propose improvements.
- Define and validate architectures for automated benches.
- Document technical specifications and feature requirements.
- Collaborate with clients to specify cost, schedule, and quality deliverables.
- Draft procurement strategies, evaluate supplier proposals, and present findings to stakeholders.
- Manage development projects, ensuring regular client reporting and milestone achievement.
- Define EHS, metrology, and maintenance requirements; author validation and acceptance procedures.
- Perform supplier pre‑acceptance and internal acceptance testing.
- Transfer technical knowledge and conduct initial operator training.
- Verify TPM implementation and perform periodic control of essential equipment.
**Required Skills**
- Automation of test/production equipment or robotics.
- Ability to author detailed specifications and requirements.
- Proficiency in software development (LabVIEW, TIA Portal) highly desirable.
- Strong project management, including scope, schedule, and cost control.
- Supplier evaluation and procurement knowledge.
- Understanding of EHS, metrology, and maintenance practices.
- Excellent analytical, testing, and process optimization abilities.
- Team orientation with high levels of autonomy.
- Professional proficiency in English.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Engineering degree in Automation, Robotics, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
- Professional English language skill.
