Job Title: Scrum Master / Lead PHP Symfony Developer
Role Summary: Dual‑role leader combining technical guidance and Agile facilitation. Drives PHP/Symfony architecture, code quality, and tooling while steering sprint ceremonies, backlog refinement, and team autonomy.
Expectations: Deliver high‑quality, scalable web applications and enable cross‑functional collaboration. Maintain disciplined Scrum practices, protect the team from interruptions, and continuously improve processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define, design, and evolve application architecture using PHP 5/7/8, Symfony 5/6, Twig, JavaScript, and REST APIs.
- Own sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews.
- Estimate effort, allocate tasks, and monitor progress within Agile teams.
- Review code quality, enforce coding standards, and approve releases; supervise CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Manage environment stability on Linux/Nginx and collaborate on database design (MSSQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL).
- Mentor developers, facilitate knowledge sharing, and maintain technical documentation.
- Remove impediments, shield the team, and collaborate with Product Owners to prioritize backlog items.
- Advocate best practices in DevOps, security, and performance; evaluate and integrate new tools (e.g., Keycloak, KONG).
- Foster communication across technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Required Skills:
Technical: PHP, Symfony, Twig, JavaScript (Angular or similar), HTML5/CSS, SQL, RESTful API design, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Linux, Nginx; experience with MSSQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL; knowledge of OAuth/OpenID Connect (Keycloak, KONG).
Soft: Agile facilitation, coaching, leadership, stakeholder communication, problem‑solving, decision‑making, time management, multi‑project coordination.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Minimum Bac+5 (Bachelor‑plus‑5, i.e., Master’s level) in Computer Science or related field.
- 10+ years in PHP/Symfony development, 5+ years as Technical Lead or Scrum Master.
- Certifications such as PSM I/II or CSM preferred.
- Domain knowledge in insurance or brokerage is an asset.
