Digital Communications Intern
Role Summary
Support the Digital and Brand Manager in delivering high‑impact digital communication for a leading European solar association. Create, edit, and distribute content across social media, website, podcasts, newsletters, and specialized platforms, while contributing to event coverage and digital campaigns.
Expectations
- Work 6 months under an internship contract with potential for full‑time employment.
- Produce timely, accurate, and engaging digital content that aligns with EU energy policy and solar advocacy goals.
- Collaborate with a small, dynamic team and adapt swiftly to changing political subjects and campaign priorities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Create dynamic video content for social media channels (YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram).
2. Draft, schedule, and publish engaging social media posts, maintaining the weekly content calendar.
3. Update and manage the organisation’s WordPress website, ensuring content relevance and accuracy.
4. Plan, record, edit, and distribute podcasts, including topic research and guest coordination.
5. Support the Battery Storage Europe Platform: craft website and LinkedIn updates, and assist in producing the 10XBatteryStorage video series.
6. Contribute to the development, design, and dispatch of monthly newsletters via Mailchimp or similar.
7. Attend and document key events, providing social media coverage and post‑event summaries.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication; strong organisational and presentation abilities.
- Fluency in English; additional EU language desirable.
- Proven experience with social media strategy and content creation across platforms.
- Design and video editing proficiency (Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with WordPress, Mailchimp, or similar CMS/Email‑marketing tools.
- Attention to detail, creativity, and a quick‑learning attitude.
Required Education & Certifications
- Current enrolment or recent completion of a degree in Communications, Marketing, Media Studies, Journalism, or a related discipline.
- No specific certifications required.
