**Job Title:** Senior Software Test Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Lead end‑to‑end testing for modern applications and microservices within an agile environment. Design, write, and automate test cases, manage test data, log defects, and collaborate closely with development, DevOps, and product teams to ensure high‑quality releases.
**Expactations:**
- Minimum 5 years of professional software testing experience.
- Strong proficiency in both manual and automated testing methodologies.
- Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of cross‑functional teams.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum practices.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Define, author, and execute test cases for user stories each sprint.
- Perform functional, integration, and API testing across applications and microservices.
- Identify, log, and track defects; verify fixes and regression impacts.
- Prepare, maintain, and manage test data sets.
- Automate tests using Cypress, Newman/Postman, Selenium, and Cucumber; integrate scripts into CI/CD pipelines.
- Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and documentation.
- Mentor junior testers and contribute to knowledge sharing.
**Required Skills:**
- Manual testing: test planning, execution, and defect management.
- Automation: Selenium, Cypress, Postman/Newman, Cucumber.
- CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
- Scripting: JavaScript, Python, or Java.
- Test management tools: JIRA, TestRail, or similar.
- Agile frameworks: Scrum, Kanban.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and communication capabilities.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Certifications such as ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst or equivalent highly desirable.
