**Job Title:** Vice President (VP) of Engineering
**Role Summary:**
Strategic technology leader responsible for directing architecture, development, and delivery of an industrial edge‑to‑cloud platform. Provides hands‑on technical guidance, builds and mentors globally distributed engineering teams, and drives rapid, high‑quality product delivery while aligning engineering outcomes with business objectives.
**Expectations:**
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with progression to senior leadership (VP, Sr. Director, or equivalent).
- Proven ability to lead large, distributed teams and scale engineering operations.
- Strong architectural expertise in edge computing, cloud platforms, and AI/ML integration.
- Demonstrated track record of high‑velocity product delivery using Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
- Collaborative partnership with executive leadership to shape technology roadmap.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Define and oversee technical architecture for edge and cloud components.
- Lead by example in code reviews, design discussions, and solving complex engineering problems.
- Implement and continuously improve Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps processes to accelerate delivery.
- Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent across multiple regions.
- Foster a culture of innovation, psychological safety, and continuous improvement.
- Drive AI/ML strategy and integration into the platform to unlock actionable insights from industrial data.
- Partner with CEO, Head of Product, and other executives to align engineering priorities with market needs.
- Manage engineering budgets, resource allocation, and performance metrics to support growth targets.
**Required Skills:**
- Deep expertise in software architecture, microservices, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong background in edge computing, IoT protocols, and data pipelines.
- Experience designing and deploying AI/ML solutions at scale.
- Mastery of Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities.
- Ability to make data‑driven decisions and prioritize engineering work against business goals.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Go, Java, Python, C++).
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (required).
- Master’s degree preferred but not mandatory.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Scrum Professional) are a plus.
