**Job Title**
Director, Software Engineering
**Role Summary**
Lead the AI Platform Engineering organization responsible for building, deploying, and operating scalable AI-driven enterprise software. Drive CI/CD, developer experience, AI governance, observability, and responsible AI practices across a global platform.
**Expectations**
- Manage a high‑performing team of platform engineers, data scientists, and DevOps specialists.
- Own end‑to‑end platform strategy, ensuring reliable, secure, and compliant AI services at scale.
- Collaborate with product, security, legal, and data teams to embed responsible AI and operational excellence.
- Deliver measurable improvements in productivity, reliability, and AI system quality.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Define, implement, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines, tooling, and developer workflows.
- Architect and maintain AI infrastructure (model training, inference, data pipelines, feature stores).
- Establish AI governance frameworks, including data lineage, model monitoring, risk assessment, and compliance controls.
- Design observability and monitoring solutions for AI models, pipelines, and infrastructure.
- Drive automation of deployment, scaling, and rollback processes across cloud environments.
- Mentor engineers, enforce coding standards, and promote best practices in security and performance.
- Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to prioritize roadmap items and align on responsible AI objectives.
**Required Skills**
- Proven leadership (5+ years leading engineering teams).
- Deep expertise in AI/ML platform architecture (model serving, data pipelines, feature engineering).
- Strong background in DevOps/CI‑CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, etc.).
- Hands‑on experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, OpenTelemetry).
- Familiarity with AI governance, explainability, bias mitigation, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
- Relevant certifications preferred: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer, GCP Professional Data Engineer, or equivalent.
- Certifications in AI/ML or security (e.g., TensorFlow Developer, Certified Information Systems Security Professional) are a plus.
