Job Description
**Job Title:** Venture Capital Analyst (Intern) **Role Summary:** Support the Managing Director in sourcing, evaluating, and managing early‑stage investment opportunities for a leading French business angel network. Act as a liaison with the startup ecosystem, conduct market and deal analysis, and represent the firm at industry events. **Expectations:** - Passion for entrepreneurship, startups, and emerging technologies. - Proactive, initiative‑taking attitude with strong problem‑solving abilities. - Ability to work autonomously while juggling multiple projects. - Prior exposure to the startup ecosystem (incubator, startup, or related role) is a plus. **Key Responsibilities:** - Source, screen, and select pre‑seed and seed investment opportunities. - Conduct market research, financial analysis, and prepare investment memos for sourcing committees. - Manage the dealflow pipeline from initial contact through due diligence. - Produce market studies and analytical notes to support investment decisions. - Represent the organization at startup events, conferences, and networking meetings to generate deal flow. - Maintain an active watch on trends, competitors, and emerging sectors within the startup ecosystem. **Required Skills:** - Strong analytical and quantitative abilities; comfortable with financial modeling and valuation basics. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (French optional). - Effective networking and relationship‑building skills. - High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks. - Initiative, self‑motivation, and capacity to work independently and within a small team. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Pursuing or holding a Master's degree (Bac +5 equivalent) in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. - Seeking a 6‑month internship (césure or final‑year) starting January 2026. - No specific certifications required.
