Job Description
Job title: Staff Machine Learning Engineer Role Summary: Lead the design, development, and scaling of machine‑learning infrastructure that powers AI‑driven drug discovery. Own end‑to‑end pipelines for training, evaluation, and production inference, working closely with ML scientists, software engineers, and biologists. Expectations: * Deliver robust, reproducible ML workflows that support high‑volume genomic data. * Mentor junior engineers and set engineering standards across the ML team. * Drive continuous improvement of tooling, CI/CD, and best practices in a cross‑functional environment. Key Responsibilities: * Design, build, and maintain scalable training and inference pipelines. * Develop reproducible data pipelines and integrate with experiment tracking (e.g., Weights & Biases). * Collaborate with scientists and engineers to prototype, iterate, and deploy ML solutions to production. * Promote modular design, code review, testing, and CI/CD automation. * Mentor peers, provide technical guidance, and elevate overall team capability. Required Skills: * 3+ years in ML engineering or software engineering with a focus on machine‑learning systems. * Advanced proficiency in Python and experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX. * Strong software architecture and design pattern knowledge. * Hands‑on with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud‑scale deployment. * Excellent collaboration skills in multidisciplinary teams. Required Education & Certifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field (Master’s preferred). * No specific certifications required.
