**Job title**
Platform Engineer
**Role Summary**
Design, build, and maintain a cloud‑agnostic developer platform that underpins high‑quality gambling software. Combine DevOps, infrastructure, and software engineering to deliver secure, performant, and reliable services across public, private, and on‑premises environments.
**Expectations**
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to produce stable, scalable, and secure platform solutions.
* Work two days per week in an on‑site office; remaining time remote.
* Participate in on‑call rotation and prompt post‑deployment support.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Architect and implement platform infrastructure, including automation, provisioning, and CI/CD pipelines.
* Develop infrastructure‑as‑code (IaC) and platform services using well‑tested, maintainable code in languages such as C#, Go, or Python.
* Build and maintain GitOps‑driven workflows, container orchestration, and automated deployment pipelines.
* Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for platform observability using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
* Mentor junior engineers and lead technical discussions on design decisions.
* Continuously evaluate and improve tooling, processes, and best practices.
* Document platform components, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
**Required Skills**
* Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building reliable, scalable systems.
* Proficiency in one or more of: C#, Go, Python.
* Deep knowledge of DevOps principles, CI/CD, GitOps, and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
* Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, Helm).
* Familiarity with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid deployment models.
* Solid grasp of networking, security, and compliance fundamentals.
* Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and cross‑team collaboration.
* Agile development experience.
**Required Education & Certifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
* Optional certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Kubernetes Administrator, or equivalent.
