Job Description

**Job title** Clinical Product Lead, AI **Role Summary** Lead the clinical oversight of an AI‑assistant within a digital health platform, ensuring patient safety, regulatory compliance, and product usability while translating clinical expertise into actionable product improvements. **Expectations** - Enterprise‑level clinical stewardship of AI outputs - Continuous monitoring, testing, and iteration based on real‑world data - Cross‑functional collaboration with product, engineering, and governance teams **Key Responsibilities** - Monitor and test AI assistant behaviour; identify gaps in safety, effectiveness, and UX. - Triage performance issues; recommend solutions such as prompt engineering, knowledge‑base updates, or workflow changes. - Ensure alignment of product outputs with clinical best practices and regulatory standards. - Maintain and evolve the AI knowledge base (e.g., for RAG systems), ensuring prompts match source material and clinical intent. - Document test cases, results, and improvement cycles for transparency and reproducibility. - Collaborate with product, engineering, and clinical governance to implement changes and track impact. - Support user research and usability testing, collecting clinician and patient feedback for iterative development. - Contribute to audit readiness and internal clinical governance processes for AI tools. **Required Skills** - Clinically trained professional with license and several years of regulated practice. - Strong understanding of AI/ML in healthcare, especially clinical decision support and structured data. - Experience in clinical validation, audit trails, and documentation for automated clinical tools. - Knowledge of safety, explainability, and human oversight requirements for AI systems. - Systems‑thinking mindset addressing end‑to‑end care delivery. - Ability to translate clinical needs into clear product decisions and enhancements. - Iterative product development mindset in fast‑paced environments. - Excellent communication skills, able to explain clinical reasoning to technical and non‑technical audiences. - Team collaboration across clinicians, engineers, designers, and commercial leads. **Required Education & Certifications** - Medical degree, nursing, allied health, or equivalent clinical qualification. - Current professional clinical license (e.g., MD, RN, PharmD). - Proven experience in regulated healthcare environments. - (Optional) Certifications in clinical governance or regulatory compliance in digital health.
