Job Description
Job Title: University Recruiter – Software Engineering (Contract) Role Summary: Build and scale a university recruitment engine to source, evaluate, and hire early‑career software engineering talent. Own the full recruiting lifecycle for interns, new grads, and entry‑level engineers, representing the company in campus events and partnering with engineering hiring managers to forecast and execute hiring plans. Expectations: * Deliver high‑velocity, high‑quality hires for early‑career engineering roles. * Meet hiring targets, improve funnel metrics, and demonstrate measurable impact on team growth. * Work from the San Francisco office up to three days per week and travel up to 25 % for campus events. * Operate in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment with minimal direction. Key Responsibilities: * Design, launch, and refine campus recruiting programs, events, and early‑career sourcing strategies. * Manage end‑to‑end recruiting for interns, new grads, and other entry‑level engineering positions. * Coordinate logistics, messaging, and post‑event follow‑up for career fairs, on‑campus events, and virtual recruiting initiatives. * Collaborate closely with engineering hiring managers to forecast needs and align hiring plans. * Deliver a high‑touch, inclusive candidate experience at every stage of the process. * Track funnel health, analyze conversion data, and use insights to continually improve yield and efficiency. * Maintain and report on candidate pipelines using ATS and sourcing tools. * Build trust and rapport with candidates and stakeholders through strong communication. Required Skills: * 2–3 years of university recruiting experience, preferably for software engineering roles. * Proven experience recruiting early‑career or technical talent and servicing campus recruiting programs. * Demonstrated ability to plan and execute recruiting events, including logistics and post‑event analytics. * Proficiency with ATS and sourcing tools; data‑driven mindset to analyze metrics such as pass‑through rates and funnel health. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to represent the company authentically in high‑volume environments. * Proactive, execution‑oriented, and comfortable operating with ambiguity in a rapidly growth‑oriented context. Required Education & Certifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience. No mandatory certifications required.
