Job Title: Internship – Derivatives Product Management
Role Summary:
Product Management Intern supports the Derivatives Product team by assisting product managers, traders, quants, operations, and technology partners in product lifecycle management. The role focuses on project planning, backlog refinement, data analysis, system requirements documentation, issue tracking, and knowledge management in a fast‑paced environment.
Expectations:
- Full‑time student, available to begin immediately.
- Work 19 hrs/week during academic term; up to 40 hrs/week during summer.
- Participate in cross‑functional meetings, product reviews, and stakeholder updates.
- Deliver research, quantitative analysis, and actionable insights to inform the product roadmap.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in project planning, documentation, and reporting for product initiatives.
- Create and refine product backlog items, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Analyze business and financial data to support decision‑making and generate insights.
- Collaborate with technology teams to document system requirements and test new functionality.
- Track issues, troubleshoot, and validate product features.
- Prepare materials for team meetings, product reviews, and stakeholder updates.
- Organize documentation, workflows, and process manuals for knowledge management.
- Conduct product or requirement research with quantitative analysis, process mapping, and translation of findings into actionable insights.
Required Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with databases or SQL is a plus.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic setting.
- Basic knowledge of financial instruments; exposure to derivatives preferred.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Current full‑time student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field.
- Preferred: Pursuing CFA, FRM, or similar certification.
- Preferred: Coursework or project experience in finance, data analysis, or software development.
- Preferred: Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
