**Job Title:** Software Engineer **Role Summary:** Designs, develops, and integrates scalable software solutions using APIs and cloud platforms to support Ameris Bank’s digital ecosystem. Collaborates with stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing applications. **Expactations:** Deliver quality API-based integrations with focus on availability, resilience, and scalability. Participate in on-call support rotations. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and implement new and existing APIs for internal/external systems. - Collaborate with stakeholders to define integration requirements and testing scenarios. - Automate testing of API contracts and CI/CD pipelines. - Map internal databases for integration and API exposure. - Engage with vendors for API enhancements and technical support. - Produce clear API documentation to ensure developer usability. **Required Skills:** - Advanced: Modern programming languages (Python/JavaScript/Java/.NET/C#), REST API development. - Moderate: SQL, Git for trunk-based development, automated testing (CI/CD), Agile practices (backlog grooming, release planning). - Basic: Incident management understanding. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field. - Minimum 2 years’ software engineering experience; 1 year in cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP). - Cloud certifications (AWS/GCP/Azure) preferred. Financial services or FinTech experience preferred.
