Job Description

**Job Title** Principal Network & Cloud Engineer **Role Summary** Senior technical leader responsible for designing, deploying, and governing the enterprise network and cloud connectivity architecture. Leads BGP migrations, SD‑WAN implementations, firewall policy development, zero‑trust segmentation, and multi‑site connectivity across hybrid Azure/AWS environments. **Expectations** - Operate as a subject‑matter expert with 10+ years of enterprise networking experience. - Exhibit independent decision‑making and executive communication skills; no direct reports. - Drive long‑term networking roadmap aligned with security and scalability objectives. - Maintain operational readiness for 550+ public IP addresses, complex routing, and multi‑site WANs. **Key Responsibilities** - Design, implement, and support core, WAN, wireless, and multi‑site network infrastructure (Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, Meraki). - Lead BGP‑based IP migration and cleaning initiatives; manage IPAM strategies. - Architect firewall policies on Cisco Firepower and Meraki; enforce ACLs and zero‑trust segmentation. - Serve as senior escalation point for advanced networking and security incidents. - Oversee ISP circuit provisioning, vendor relationships, and multi‑site connectivity. - Collaborate with Security Engineering on network segmentation, policy enforcement, and secure connectivity. - Guide enterprise wireless architecture, Meraki SD‑WAN, and LTE device support. - Design and manage hybrid Azure connectivity (VNet, ExpressRoute, VPN); support AWS integration. - Drive SD‑WAN modernization, disaster recovery, and network resiliency initiatives. - Contribute to future IPAM and automation programs. **Required Skills** - Advanced BGP, routing/switching, and WAN architecture. - Strong firewall technologies (Cisco Firepower, Meraki). - Hands‑on Azure networking; AWS exposure preferred. - SD‑WAN (Meraki) implementation and support. - Zero‑trust network design, VLAN segmentation, ACL configuration. - Vendor & circuit lifecycle management. - Security Collaboration – Cisco ISE, EGIRP, secure routing. - Multi‑site enterprise networking experience (50–60 circuits). - Infrastructure automation familiarity. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred, not mandatory). - Relevant certifications: CCNP/CCIE networking; security certifications (CCNP Security, CCSP) are a plus.
