**Job Title** Stock Yards Business Development Manager **Role Summary** Drive new account acquisition and revenue growth for stockyard offerings within a designated region. Manage multi‑site relationships with sellers, sales leaders, and category managers to expand market share and convert high‑potential prospects into profitable accounts. **Expectations** - Meet or exceed quarterly sales targets for new account revenue. - Travel up to 50 % overnight to conduct on‑site and virtual engagements. - Operate independently in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. **Key Responsibilities** - Develop and execute a business plan that captures market share in the region. - Build, nurture, and manage multi‑site relationships with sellers, sales leaders, and Category Operations Managers. - Identify, pursue, and close high‑potential new business accounts (> $0.5 M). - Assist in SKU rationalization, assortment management, and portfolio balance between Stock and JIT items. - Promote conversion of competitive products to stockyard solutions; support by‑product conversions. - Deliver targeted COP training to sellers and sales leaders. - Partner with Regional Category Management and Marketing teams to coordinate internal and external promotion activities. - Collaborate with the Area Pricing Manager on negotiated and non‑negotiated pricing. - Conduct Stock Yards Business Reviews with Area Leadership. - Use CRM tools to manage the sales pipeline and communicate with sellers. **Required Skills** - Minimum 3 years of sales experience, with strong expertise in Cook‑On‑Demand (COP) and new account opening. - Proven track record of turning prospects into high‑value accounts. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills (large‑group presentations). - Strong interpersonal ability to build internal and external relationships. - Self‑motivated, results‑driven, detail‑oriented, and able to work under pressure. - Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. - Valid U.S. driver’s license; willingness to travel extensively. **Required Education & Certifications** - High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred). - No specific certifications required.
