Job Description
**Job Title** IT DevOps Engineer II **Role Summary** Design, build, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code for multi‑environment deployments. Deliver reliable, secure, and cost‑efficient cloud operations, while mentoring junior engineers and fostering a DevOps culture across development, QA, and operations teams. **Expectations** - Deliver high‑quality automation solutions that reduce manual effort and increase deployment velocity. - Mentor and coach junior DevOps staff, driving knowledge sharing and best‑practice adoption. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure consistent deployment processes and continuous improvement. - Participate actively in incident response, root‑cause analysis, and remediation. **Key Responsibilities** - Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and release across multiple environments. - Develop and manage IaC using Terraform or CloudFormation. - Optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS) for scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency. - Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) to provide end‑to‑end observability. - Support and maintain Kubernetes clusters, ensuring security and resource efficiency. - Automate repetitive operational tasks to speed delivery and reduce manual labor. - Enforce DevSecOps practices and compliance standards across all deployments. - Conduct incident response, root‑cause analysis, and recommend fixes. - Mentor DevOps Engineer I team members and lead best‑practice workshops. - Support Tier 2 DORM support queue and other ad‑hoc projects as assigned. - Create development lab environments, troubleshoot issues, and propose solutions. - Maintain integration points between core business systems and infrastructure. **Required Skills** - ≥3 years experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or systems engineering. - ≥1 year expertise in a mainstream programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Go, C#). - Proficient with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. - Experience with AWS services, Jenkins, GitHub, and Kubernetes. - Knowledge of monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack). - Strong grasp of CI/CD principles and automation pipelines. - Familiarity with DevSecOps and compliance practices. - Excellent collaboration, mentoring, and communication skills. - (Preferred) Experience with Salesforce, Apex, Visualforce. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent work experience. - Certifications not required; relevant experience and education may substitute.
