Job Title: Systems Designer – Engineer/Developer
Role Summary
Design, develop, and implement real‑time automation and information solutions across manufacturing plant floors and enterprise levels. Work with PLC/PAC programming, HMI/SCADA, network, database, vision, safety, servo control, MES, ERP connectors, and high‑level software (C#, .NET, SQL, VB, VBA, HTML5).
Expectations
* Deliver robust, scalable automation and information systems that meet client process and quality requirements.
* Collaborate closely with senior engineers, clients, and cross‑functional teams to define functional specifications and validate solutions.
* Participate in continuous learning and mentoring cycles to uphold best practices in automation and software development.
* Maintain documentation, troubleshoot issues, and support post‑deployment handover.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and program PLC/PAC logic for machine and process control.
* Develop HMI/SCADA interfaces and operator applications.
* Plan and implement network topologies, databases, and communication protocols.
* Integrate vision systems, safety interlocks, and servo motion controllers.
* Configure and customize MES modules and develop ERP connectors.
* Write high‑level application logic in C#, .NET, VB, VBA, and web technologies (HTML5, CSS).
* Conduct unit, integration, and system testing; perform performance tuning and reliability verification.
* Draft technical specifications, configuration guides, and user manuals.
* Engage in code reviews, design reviews, and client demonstrations.
Required Skills
* Strong programming in PLC/PAC (Siemens, Allen‑Bradley, etc.) and high‑level languages (C#, .NET, VB, VBA).
* Experience with HMI/SCADA design (Wonderware, Ignition, GE iFIX).
* Knowledge of industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, Profinet).
* Database design and SQL skills (SQL Server, MySQL).
* Understanding of vision systems, machine safety standards (IEC 61508/61511), and servo control.
* Familiarity with MES/ERP integration and data exchange protocols (OPC, XML, JSON).
* Good analytical, problem‑solving, and communication abilities.
Required Education & Certifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field.
* PLC/PAC certification (e.g., Siemens SIMATIC, Allen‑Bradley MicroLogix) preferred.
* Valid driver’s license is often required for plant site visits.
