Job Description
Job title: Information Technology Project Manager Role Summary: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large, complex IT initiatives that support institutional strategy. Manage cross‑functional teams, align project scope to business value, and ensure on‑time, on‑budget completion while driving change and stakeholder alignment. Expactations: • 8–10 years progressive IT project management experience, preferably in higher education or matrixed enterprise settings. • Proven delivery of enterprise systems (CRM, ERP, infrastructure, data integration, cloud). • 3 days onsite presence (hybrid work model). • Strong budgeting, resource planning, and risk‑management competence. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and manage detailed project plans, milestones, budgets, timelines, and resource allocations. - Lead cross‑functional teams, communicate vision, and influence outcomes without direct authority. - Conduct risk assessments, implement mitigation strategies, and report status to senior leadership. - Serve as primary liaison among technical teams, business units, and executive sponsors. - Navigate organizational change, balance competing priorities, and maintain project momentum in ambiguous environments. Required Skills: - Expertise in Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid methodologies; certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) preferred. - Proficiency with MS Project, Smartsheet, ServiceNow, or Jira. - Data‑driven decision‑making, strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication; presentation to senior leadership. - Relationship building, conflict resolution, and stakeholder engagement. - Self‑motivated, organized, capable of independent work in fast‑paced settings. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field. - PMP, Agile, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
