**Job Title** Founding Senior Backend Engineer **Role Summary** Own and develop the core backend systems that transform production alerts into actionable root‑cause analyses (RCAs) and fix suggestions, driving end‑to‑end observability, reliability, and customer integration for an autonomous AI‑powered alert investigation platform. **Expectations** * Lead architecture and implementation of end‑to‑end alert pipelines from ingestion to RCA. * Ship a high‑value alert set rapidly, then scale coverage. * Deliver production‑grade systems with performance, observability, and operational safety. **Key Responsibilities** * Design and build scalable alert ingestion, normalization, context enrichment, correlation, and hypothesis orchestration engines. * Implement investigation execution runtimes, artifact generation, and reporting pipelines. * Define and enforce system observability, auditability, and reliability standards. * Partner with founders to prioritize and ship critical alert types. * Integrate customer‑ready components across the full pipeline stack. * Review code, set technical quality standards, and mentor peers. * Own end‑to‑end production behavior, including performance tuning, failure mode analysis, and debugging practices. **Required Skills** * 5+ years of professional software engineering experience (10+ highly preferred). * Proven track record of shipping production products at high velocity. * Strong backend and distributed‑systems expertise; experience with data platforms, production pipelines, and observability tooling. * Proficiency in Python (core language) and Rust for performance‑critical components. * Experience with ClickHouse or similar high‑volume event stores. * Familiarity with AWS, Terraform, and infrastructure‑as‑code practices. * Knowledge of multi‑agent AI frameworks (e.g., LangGraph) a plus. * Ability to architect large‑scale, fault‑tolerant systems and make critical trade‑offs. * Excellent communication, product instincts, and ownership mindset. **Required Education & Certifications** * No specific degree required; a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. * Certifications in cloud platforms or distributed systems are welcomed but not mandatory.
