Job title: Azure Cloud Architect
Role Summary:
Senior architect responsible for designing, implementing, and managing end‑to‑end Azure cloud solutions for enterprise workloads. Lead the migration of on‑prem systems, integrate hybrid environments, and establish governance, security, cost‑management, and DevOps pipelines. Serve as the technical authority on Azure best practices and cross‑cloud strategy.
Expectations:
- 10+ years of professional Azure experience, including architecture, implementation, and operations.
- 4–6 years of hybrid on‑prem/cloud architecture and networking expertise.
- 4–6 years in Cloud DevOps (CI/CD, IaC).
- 2–3 years in Cloud Security design and implementation.
- 1–2 years in Cloud FinOps and cost optimization.
- 1–2 years of GCP experience (preferred).
- Knowledge of AWS and OCI considered a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Visio for architecture diagrams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design scalable, secure, and highly available Azure architectures for enterprise workloads.
- Plan and execute migrations from on‑prem and other clouds to Azure, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
- Build and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines, IaC (ARM, Bicep, Terraform), and release management workflows.
- Implement and enforce security controls, identity, and access management across hybrid environments.
- Develop cost‑management strategies, monitor FinOps metrics, and recommend optimizations.
- Produce detailed architecture documentation, design reviews, and best‑practice guidelines.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams to align on technical requirements.
- Mentor and guide technical staff on Azure architecture and operational practices.
Required Skills:
- Azure Architecture, Azure Services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), Azure Active Directory, Azure Key Vault.
- Hybrid on‑prem/cloud integration (Azure Arc, VPN, ExpressRoute).
- Cloud Networking (VNet, NSG, Application Gateway, Traffic Manager).
- Cloud DevOps (Azure DevOps Services, Pipelines, Git, IaC).
- Cloud Security (IAM, RBAC, network security, encryption).
- Cloud FinOps (Cost Management, Budgets, Reservations).
- Microsoft Visio, diagramming, and documentation.
- Familiarity with GCP (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage) and optional AWS/OCI concepts.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification mandatory.
- Azure Administrator Associate and Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certifications preferred.
- Additional AWS/Azure/Azure‑specific certifications and GCP certification are a plus.
