Job title: Account Director (Fixed Term Contract)
Role Summary: Lead client account management for a global sports brand, overseeing end‑to‑end creative asset delivery across social media. Drive profitable growth, ensure service excellence, and manage a high‑performance team in a cross‑functional environment.
Expectations: Deliver best‑in‑class service, maintain profitability, achieve client growth targets, and sustain high NPS scores. Lead operational excellence, budget control, and process improvements while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate cross‑functional responses and deliverables, ensuring alignment with client objectives and quality standards.
- Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), develop and execute client growth plans, and identify expansion opportunities.
- Implement best‑practice client management processes: conference reports, timeline management with PM/IP, clear roles & responsibilities, and internal check‑ins.
- Optimize resource allocation to enhance client satisfaction and profitability.
- Identify process gaps, report issues to senior leadership, and collaborate with capability teams to resolve them.
- Provide strategic guidance and craft high‑quality briefs that align with client goals.
- Anticipate client needs, proactively address challenges, and present innovative solutions.
- Delegate effectively to build capabilities in Senior Account Managers (SAMs) and Account Managers (AMs).
- Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and operational improvement.
- Support onboarding, training, and development of new hires.
- Deliver persuasive, actionable recommendations to internal teams and clients.
- Utilize proprietary tools and data analytics to guide client strategies and creative decisions.
- Maintain accurate financial reporting: forecasts, invoicing, budget reconciliation.
Required Skills:
- 8+ years in agency client‑facing roles, focused on creative asset and campaign delivery in social media.
- Proven experience managing a small team, facilitating brainstorming and creative collaboration.
- Deep understanding of social media production, content creation, scheduling, and campaign execution.
- Strong media knowledge, production/creative process expertise, and familiarity with AI tools in creative workflows.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Solution‑oriented mindset for conflict resolution, process improvement, and client relationship strengthening.
- Ability to drive cross‑functional collaboration and maintain client focus.
- Experience with budgeting, financial forecasting, and profitability analysis.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications in digital marketing, media, or project management are a plus.
