Job Description

Job Title: Senior Project Manager – Solar Role Summary: Own and deliver a portfolio of UK utility‑scale solar projects from late‑stage development through full construction, acting as the client’s primary representative to ensure projects run safely, on schedule, and to high quality standards. Expactations: Immediate availability and readiness to engage in active project work; ability to make timely decisions and lead teams in fast‑paced environments. Key Responsibilities - Drive feasibility, late‑stage design, permitting, and grid connection processes. - Coordinate technical, commercial, planning, and grid activities for construction readiness. - Lead transition to construction execution, monitoring EPC contractor performance, schedule, budget, site progress, and quality. - Produce clear reporting and ensure adherence to project milestones. - Serve as the main interface with EPC partners, landowners, consultants, DNOs, and internal stakeholders; manage expectations, relationships, and issue escalation. - Identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and enforce compliance with HSE and environmental regulations. Required Skills - 5+ years of senior project management in utility‑scale solar or large construction projects. - Strong grasp of development workflows: planning, permitting, grid connection, design coordination. - Proven ability to manage EPC contractors and represent client interests. - Highly organized, proactive, decisive, and comfortable working under tight timelines. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Renewable Energy, or related field. - Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred.
