**Job Title**
VP of Engineering
**Role Summary**
Lead the global engineering organization to deliver scalable, enterprise-grade SaaS products. Translate business objectives into technology strategy, drive engineering excellence, and balance rapid delivery with reliability, security, and performance.
**Expectations**
- Minimum 5+ years in senior tech leadership (Director/VP) within a SaaS or high‑growth tech environment.
- Proven track record of end‑to‑end product delivery, large‑scale releases, and meeting customer/revenue goals.
- Strong business acumen; ability to align engineering priorities with corporate strategy and revenue targets.
- Experience building and scaling remote‑first, distributed teams of 50+ individuals.
- Hands‑on expertise in AI/ML infrastructure is a plus.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Translate executive strategy into a concrete technology roadmap that supports growth, revenue, and customer success.
- Lead and mentor a global engineering team (60+ engineers across backend, frontend, mobile, AI).
- Champion engineering excellence: quality, reliability, scalability, security, performance, velocity, and craftsmanship culture.
- Architect and evolve platform, APIs, integrations, and compliance layers for both self‑serve PLG and enterprise usage.
- Partner with Product, Design, and GTM leaders to align technical execution with market and customer priorities.
- Leverage AI/ML to accelerate product innovation and engineering practices.
**Required Skills**
- Strategic leadership and stakeholder management.
- Deep expertise in SaaS architecture, distributed systems, and cloud-native infrastructure (Kubernetes, CI/CD, containerization).
- Proficiency in backend languages and frameworks (PHP, Go, Node.js, React/Redux, Swift, Kotlin).
- Experience with automated testing tools (Playwright, Selenium).
- Security best practices, RBAC, compliance, and API design.
- Remote team management and distributed collaboration.
- Roadmap planning, release management, and data‑driven decision making.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (master’s and higher degrees preferred).
- Relevant certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Kubernetes Administrator, etc.) are advantageous.
