Job Description: **Job Title:** Head of Development **Role Summary:** Senior technology leader responsible for defining platform architecture, driving engineering best practices, and building high‑performing cross‑functional development teams. Partners with product and data leaders to align delivery with business objectives and fosters a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. **Expectations:** - Demonstrated success in senior technical leadership (Head of Development or equivalent). - Strong strategic thinking, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management. - Ability to inspire, coach, and grow engineering talent. - Passion for exploring emerging technologies and improving development processes. **Key Responsibilities:** - Define and execute technology landscape and platform architecture aligned with long‑term business OKRs. - Champion software engineering standards (code quality, testing, documentation). - Lead continuous improvement of development methodologies and processes. - Collaborate with Head of Product and Head of Data to ensure delivery meets business requirements. - Drive adoption of cutting‑edge technologies to maintain competitive advantage. - Recruit, build, and mentor high‑performing, cross‑functional development teams. **Required Skills:** - Hands‑on expertise with ASP.NET, MVC, C#, JavaScript frameworks (Angular, Vue), SQL, and AWS. - Deep knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and modern engineering practices. - Proven experience managing technical design, delivery, and best‑practice implementation. - Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities. - Strong strategic planning and analytical problem‑solving skills. - Curiosity for new tools and practices that accelerate technology evolution. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). - Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer, or similar).
