Job Title: Senior Cloud Engineer Role Summary: Lead the design, operation, and optimization of cloud data infrastructure for large‑scale analytics. Ensure scalability, cost efficiency, security, and governance across AWS and Databricks platforms, enabling data teams to innovate securely. Expectations: - Maintain high‑availability, cost‑efficient, and secure cloud environments. - Apply best practices in data governance, security, and compliance. - Automate infrastructure and workflows to support rapid delivery and resilience. Key Responsibilities: 1. Manage, scale, and optimize Databricks workspaces, clusters, and job scheduling. 2. Design and enforce IAM, RBAC/ABAC, SCIM, and other governance frameworks. 3. Administer AWS resources (VPC, EC2, S3, CloudWatch) for performance and security. 4. Build and maintain IaC pipelines (Terraform, CloudFormation) and automation scripts (Python, Bash). 5. Implement backup, disaster recovery, and cost‑optimization strategies. 6. Establish observability, monitoring, and reporting dashboards for system health and cost transparency. 7. Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, software engineers, and IT to align cloud infrastructure with business objectives. Required Skills: - 5+ years of experience managing AWS (VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch) and Databricks environments. - Deep knowledge of cloud security practices, data governance, and cost‑management. - Proficiency in IaC tools: Terraform or CloudFormation. - Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash. - Experience designing backup and disaster‑recovery solutions. - Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration abilities. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). - AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Databricks Certified Associate (preferred).
