Job Description

Job title: Data Scientist Role Summary: Data Scientist responsible for developing and deploying data‑driven solutions that address business strategy and operational challenges. Works cross‑functionally with stakeholders to extract, transform, model, and communicate insights from structured and unstructured data using advanced analytics and machine learning techniques. Expactations: - Deliver actionable models and insights that influence enterprise‑level strategy and decision‑making. - Maintain rigorous model risk management documentation and ensure compliance with data governance. - Mentor junior data team members and contribute to data literacy initiatives. - Stay current with industry best practices and emerging data science technologies. Key Responsibilities: - Extract and transform data from multiple sources for prescriptive/predictive analysis. - Design, train, validate, and deploy supervised and unsupervised ML models (e.g., logistic regression, clustering, neural nets). - Utilize deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch) and NLP libraries for text analytics. - Integrate models into cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and expose via API endpoints. - Collaborate with business stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success metrics. - Produce clear reports, visualizations, and presentations to communicate findings to technical and non‑technical audiences. - Manage project timelines, deliverables, and cross‑team dependencies. Required Skills: - 5+ years of experience with machine/deep learning, data mining, and complex relational data models. - 5+ years of Python programming; proficiency with NumPy, pandas, scikit‑learn. - 3+ years with TensorFlow, scikit‑learn, Keras, PyTorch, and NLP libraries (tokenization, embeddings). - 2+ years of cloud computing (AWS, GCP, Azure) experience; ability to work with API services. - Strong knowledge of supervised/unsupervised learning methods (logistic regression, bagging/boosting, clustering, neural networks). - Effective written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical results to business audiences. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Econometrics, or related field. - Master’s degree in the same or related discipline preferred. - Relevant certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and data science (e.g., TensorFlow Developer, AWS Certified Machine Learning) are advantageous.
