Job Description

Job Title: Senior Data Solution Architect Role Summary: Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of secure, scalable data solutions for maritime defense systems, including large‑scale time‑series migrations, cloud‑native architectures, and advanced analytics. Expectations: - Deliver enterprise‑level data architectures that meet stringent security, integrity, and availability requirements. - Guide multi‑disciplinary teams through end‑to‑end data migration, storage, and reporting initiatives. - Apply cybersecurity and IT best practices to protect classified information. Key Responsibilities: - Architect and oversee large‑scale data migrations involving multi‑channel time‑series streams from trials, simulations, and operational data. - Design and implement robust data storage solutions (Oracle, PostgreSQL, TimeScaleDB) ensuring redundancy and data integrity. - Deploy and maintain reporting engines atop database architectures to enable analytics and decision support. - Build and support cloud‑based solutions in AWS GovCloud and VMware, incorporating industry‑standard DevOps pipelines. - Integrate AI/ML tools for platform time‑series analysis in maritime contexts. - Lead technical problem‑solving for software, hardware, and system integration. - Ensure compliance with security policies, maintain Secret clearance, and adhere to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) principles. Required Skills: - 20+ years of experience in cyber/IT strategy, planning, and architecture. - Proficient in data migration, ETL, and large‑scale data integration. - Deep knowledge of relational and time‑series databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, TimeScaleDB). - Expertise in AWS GovCloud, VMware, and cloud‑native solution design. - Strong background in AI/ML application to time‑series data. - Proven experience with secure architecture, data integrity, and redundancy. - Familiarity with SAFe agile methodology and certifications. - Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex technical projects. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Mathematics (accredited institution). - Active Secret security clearance (US citizenship required). - SAFe certification preferred; additional relevant IT/CI certifications acceptable.
