Job Description
**Job Title:** Head of Housing Design and Delivery (Interim Head of Service) **Role Summary:** Lead the design and delivery of housing projects, overseeing a team of housing professionals. Manage construction and social housing initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. **Expectations:** - Act as interim Head of Service. - Provide strategic direction and operational leadership. - Demonstrate expertise in construction and social housing sectors. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary housing design and delivery team. - Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets. - Ensure compliance with housing regulations, safety standards, and quality benchmarks. - Coordinate with stakeholders including developers, local authorities, and community groups. - Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions. - Report progress to senior leadership and external partners. **Required Skills:** - Strong leadership and team‑management abilities. - Project management proficiency in housing construction. - In‑depth knowledge of social housing regulations and standards. - Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills. - Analytical problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities. - Proficiency with project management software and BIM tools (preferred). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline. - Professional certifications such as RICS, BPS, or equivalent preferred. - Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in housing design, construction, and social housing project delivery.
