Job Description
**Job title** Positioning Services Intern **Role Summary** Internship (12 months, 37.5 hrs/week) focused on developing, testing, and validating end‑to‑end positioning services that deliver centimeter‑level accuracy using GNSS satellite and regional error corrections. Work with network processing and positioning engine teams to generate corrections, apply them to positioning solutions, and assess performance. **Expections** * Completion of at least the 2nd or 3rd year of a recognized engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics degree (Masters/PhD eligible). * Continued enrollment in an Engineering Internship/Co‑op program. * Availability for a full 12‑month work term, Monday‑Friday. * Strong academic record and ability to work in a distributed collaborative environment. **Key Responsibilities** - Collect and analyze data on existing and emerging positioning technologies. - Perform formal and exploratory testing; document test design, execution, and results. - Develop and maintain tools/utilities for visualizing positioning and correction performance. - Assist in the end‑to‑end development of positioning services software (correction computation to positioning). - Assess GNSS positioning performance and troubleshoot failures. - Manage development environments, install and monitor correction/monitoring software. - Update documentation to enhance system knowledge and product robustness. **Required Skills** - Strong analytical and statistical analysis skills. - Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems. - Excellent oral and written communication. - Detail‑oriented, self‑starter capable of following complex instructions. - Ability to visualize and organize information from complex software systems. **Optional / Nice‑to‑Have Skills** - Knowledge of GPS/GNSS/INS concepts. - Familiarity with estimation methods. **Required Education & Certifications** - Enrolled in a recognized post‑secondary institution in Electrical, Computer, Software, Geomatics Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics. - No additional certifications required.
