**Job Title:** Data Center Cooling Systems Expert (M/F)
**Role Summary:**
Technical authority responsible for designing, overseeing installation, optimizing, and maintaining HVAC and liquid‑cooling solutions for critical data‑center facilities. Ensures thermal performance, energy efficiency (PUE/WUE), and resilience (N+1, 2N) while driving innovation and mentoring engineering teams.
**Expectations:**
- Lead all aspects of data‑center cooling architecture from concept to operation.
- Deliver energy‑efficient, reliable solutions that meet or exceed performance targets.
- Keep abreast of emerging cooling technologies and integrate them where beneficial.
- Act as the primary point of contact with vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design and supervise installation of air‑cooling, free‑cooling, liquid‑cooling, and hybrid systems.
- Size hydraulic loops, cooling towers, chillers, and CDUs.
- Optimize energy consumption and monitor PUE/WUE indicators.
- Manage maintenance programs and operational performance of thermal equipment.
- Define and evolve standards for energy efficiency and redundancy (N+1, 2N).
- Conduct thermal studies, risk analyses, and design validations.
- Perform technology scouting on immersion cooling, rear‑door heat exchange, and intelligent hybrid systems.
- Coach and upskill technical teams in HVAC engineering.
- Participate in technical committees and arbitrate thermal design decisions.
- Produce detailed specifications and technical documentation.
- Represent the organization with suppliers and industry specialists.
- Contribute to innovation projects focused on energy efficiency and data‑center sustainability.
**Required Skills:**
- Deep expertise in HVAC/thermal engineering for high‑density data‑center environments.
- Strong knowledge of CVC, DLC (Direct Liquid Cooling, immersion cooling, rear‑door exchange).
- Proficiency with redundancy concepts (N+1, 2N) and resilience planning.
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary technical teams (HVAC, fluid, electrical).
- Advanced use of simulation and design tools (CFD, Revit MEP, AutoCAD, hydraulic software).
- Solid understanding of energy performance metrics (PUE, WUE, adiabatic efficiency).
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Master's degree (Bac+5) or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC/thermal engineering, or related field.
- Specialized training or certification in data‑center cooling design preferred (e.g., ASHRAE, BICSI, or equivalent).
