**Job Title**
Senior Project Manager – Transmission Routing and Siting
**Role Summary**
Lead and manage the full lifecycle of transmission line routing, substation siting, and renewable infrastructure projects within the Southwest region, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, stakeholder engagement, and delivery of high‑quality, on‑time, on‑budget results.
**Expectations**
- Manage multiple, complex linear power projects simultaneously.
- Maintain strict control over scope, schedule, budget, and risk.
- Build and sustain strong client relationships.
- Mentor and grow a high‑performing project team.
- Deliver clear, concise technical reports and documentation.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Act as primary client manager for selected accounts.
- Lead risk management for contract reviews and project deliverables.
- Conduct routing/siting studies, analyses, and prepare technical reports.
- Draft and monitor project scope, schedules, and budgets.
- Advise on state filing requirements; prepare and submit state-specific siting applications.
- Produce environmental reviews (e.g., CEQA, NEPA) and other regulatory documents.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams: engineering, law, planning, permitting, environmental, and real estate specialists.
- Provide expert witness testimony and regulatory submissions to entities such as CA PUC, CA‑ISO, SPP, etc.
- Travel as needed (≈20% of time).
- Perform non‑routine tasks, research, and write concise technical documents.

- Deep understanding of land acquisition, siting, and routing for linear projects.

- Experience working with state utility regulatory agencies and system operators.
- Skill in drafting proposals, scopes of work, budgets, and schedules for multi‑disciplinary efforts.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in linear power projects involving land acquisition, routing, or environmental planning.
- At least 8 years of experience developing proposals, scopes, budgets, and schedules for complex environmental projects with multi‑agency collaboration.
- Preferable knowledge of permitting requirements in Arizona, California, New Mexico, Nevada, or Utah.
- Certifications or licenses related to environmental regulation or project management are a plus.
