Job Description
Job title: IT Network Engineer Role Summary: Design, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless network infrastructure. Provide ongoing support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and security management to ensure reliable and performant network operations. Expectations: * Deliver secure, scalable network solutions aligned with organizational needs. * Maintain continuous network availability and optimize performance across the Americas and supporting global initiatives. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design, configure, and deploy LAN, WAN, and wireless networks. 2. Install, support, and repair network hardware and software (routers, switches, firewalls). 3. Monitor network performance, analyze logs, and proactively address issues. 4. Troubleshoot connectivity and performance problems across all network segments. 5. Implement and manage network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and related policies. 6. Document network topologies, configuration changes, and maintenance procedures. 7. Collaborate with cross‑functional IT teams to assess and meet connectivity requirements. Required Skills: * In‑depth knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, BGP, and 802.11 protocols. * Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts (e.g., virtual networks, VPNs, SD‑WAN). * Proficient in network security principles, firewall configuration, and VPN design. * Analytical and problem‑solving abilities for complex network issues. * Experience evaluating new network technologies with vendors. Required Education & Certifications: * Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, **or** Associate’s Degree in Network Engineering with 5–7 years of professional network engineering experience. * Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, MCSE) are preferred but not mandatory.
