Job Description

Job title: Junior Data Analyst Role Summary: Support data‑driven initiatives within the Digital Transformation team, focusing on algorithm development, hypothesis testing, dashboard creation, and data pipeline design to solve maritime industry challenges. Expectations: - Strong quantitative mindset with statistical analysis skills. - Rapid learning and application of new tools and methodologies. - Collaborative communication across cross‑functional teams. Key Responsibilities: - Develop proof‑of‑concept models, metrics, and algorithms for diverse data and workflow challenges. - Conduct ad‑hoc analysis and test hypotheses to address commercial problems. - Build, maintain, and present PowerBI dashboards and visualisations. - Design and facilitate data warehouse pipelines and ETL processes. - Contribute to team knowledge sharing and process improvement. Required Skills: - Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative field. - Proficiency in Excel (O365). - Familiarity with Python (or similar), SQL, and PowerBI preferred. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in analytical work. - Effective verbal and written communication in English. - Ability to connect data insights to business context and propose actionable solutions. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or similar quantitative discipline. - No mandatory certifications, though experience with data analytics tools enhances suitability.
