**Job Title**
ServiceNow Developer
**Role Summary**
Design, develop, test, and maintain ServiceNow solutions for federal government clients. Leverage scoped application development, ITService Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), Service Mapping (SPM) and SecOps modules, using Agile practices to deliver high‑quality, secure, and scalable automation.
**Expectations**
- Deliver robust ServiceNow customizations and integrations on time.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and operations staff to translate requirements into technical designs.
- Ensure code quality, documentation, and adherence to governance standards.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Configure and customize ServiceNow modules, focusing on SPM, ITSM, ITOM, SecOps, and CMDB.
- Develop scoped applications, client‑side and server‑side scripts, and UI/UX components (Service Portal, Service Catalog).
- Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
- Apply Agile methodology: sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, backlog refinement, and retrospective feedback.
- Perform unit, integration, and regression testing; resolve bugs using logs and diagnostics.
- Package releases, manage code/configuration migration across DEV/TEST/PROD environments, and validate upgrades/patches.
- Document design, coding standards, and change logs; maintain technical knowledge base.
- Provide on‑call or ad‑hoc support to operations/maintenance teams.
- Participate in architecture reviews and security assessments.
**Required Skills**
- ServiceNow platform expertise (Scoped app development, CMDB, Discovery, Service Portal).
- Strong programming skills in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ServiceNow scripting APIs.
- Experience with Agile development processes.
- Troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3+ years of ServiceNow development experience.
- Current ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) preferred.
- ITIL Foundation or intermediate certification preferred.
- Knowledge of partner integrations and federal security requirements (e.g., DoD, DoE) is an asset.
**Clearance**
Active Secret clearance or higher required.
