**Job Title** Backend Developer (Apprenticeship) **Role Summary** Join a fast‑moving startup to design, develop, and maintain robust, high‑performance SaaS APIs. Working under the lead developer, you will contribute to backend architecture, integrate databases and third‑party services, ensure code quality, and collaborate in an agile environment. **Expectations** - High motivation and curiosity for backend engineering. - Ability to work autonomously while thriving in a startup culture. - Strong attention to detail, rigor, and continuous learning mindset. **Key Responsibilities** - Design and implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs. - Integrate PostgreSQL databases and external services. - Optimize performance, scalability, and security of backend components. - Write unit and integration tests; maintain test coverage. - Participate in code reviews and uphold clean‑code standards. - Collaborate with front‑end and product teams in agile sprints. - Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and Docker‑based deployments. **Required Skills** - Python programming, preferably with Django framework. - Familiarity with type checking (mypy) and linting (pylint). - Experience with PostgreSQL. - Understanding of REST principles; GraphQL knowledge a plus. - Proficiency with Git version control. - Basic Docker usage. - Writing tests using pytest or unittest. - Awareness of CI/CD concepts and clean‑code practices. **Required Education & Certifications** - Currently enrolled in a Computer Science program (Engineering school, DUT/BUT, Bachelor’s, etc.) or equivalent. - No formal certifications required; portfolio or GitHub project demonstrating backend work is expected.
