Job Description
Job title: NOC Specialist Role Summary: Senior Network Operations Centre specialist responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving complex issues across fixed wireless, SD‑WAN, and cloud‑based network services. Provides third‑level technical and managerial support to Tier II NOC staff, escalates incidents, manages change, and maintains service delivery metrics such as MTTR and availability. Operates in a high‑volume, multi‑market environment and performs on‑call support. Expectations: - 5+ years of experience supporting Internet/WAN/data/cloud infrastructure. - Demonstrated technical leadership and training capabilities. - Strong multitasking ability in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure setting. - Willingness to work rotating shifts and be on‑call outside normal hours. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor over 15 000 network elements using Zabbix, Intermapper, Cacti, and similar tools. - Execute proactive network stability and availability measures. - Troubleshoot client issues on fixed‑wireless, SD‑WAN, and cloud platforms. - Provide 3rd‑level technical and management support to Tier II NOC technicians. - Facilitate new or change services (Cisco routers/switches, Redline/Ceragon radios, Linux platforms). - Coordinate engineering involvement for complex trouble resolution. - Conduct change management planning, scheduling, and execution. - Maintain accurate network documentation and records (Visio, drawings). - Analyze incident reports, service‑assurance data, and NOC metrics (MTTR, availability, ticket volume). - Respond to and resolve customer‑reported troubles and automated alerts in a timely manner. - Interface directly with customers to track interactions, progress, and resolution. Required Skills: - Hands‑on expertise with Fortinet products (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSwitch). - Proficient in configuring and managing Fortinet SD‑WAN solutions. - Advanced knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPLS) and IP protocols (SNMP, SMTP, HTTP, 802.1Q, STP). - RF/networking fundamentals and basic Linux OS skills. - Advanced knowledge of Cisco routers (ASR9K, NCS, ME3600/3800) and switches (3750, WS‑3850, C9300, NEXUS 7K/9K). - Experience with Cisco IOS‑XE, XR, wireless, data services, and cloud technologies. - Ability to train and share knowledge with peers. - Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio).
