Job Description
Job title: DevOps Engineer Role Summary: Implement, automate, and secure cloud‑based infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to ensure high availability and reliability of applications. Expactations: Deliver scalable, observability‑driven environments; continually improve deployment processes; maintain compliance and security standards; collaborate across Dev, Ops, and security teams. Key Responsibilities: • Design, provision, and maintain IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi on AWS (preferred). • Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar. • Manage container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS) and microservices architecture. • Monitor and analyse system performance with Splunk, Datadog, or CloudWatch; create proactive improvement reports. • Apply security controls, scanning, secrets management, IAM policies; support audits and compliance documentation. • Troubleshoot incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and apply patches. • Mentor teams, share DevOps practices, and champion Agile culture. Required Skills: • 3+ years in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infra engineering. • Proficiency in AWS (preferred), Azure or GCP. • IaC experts: Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation. • Containerization: Docker; orchestration: Kubernetes, ECS. • CI/CD tooling: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Octopus. • Scripting/programming: Python, Bash, Go. • Linux system administration. • Observability platforms: Splunk, Datadog, ELK stack. • Knowledge of SOC 2, NIST, CIS Benchmarks; DevSecOps practices. • Git proficiency; modern workflows (trunk‑based, GitOps). Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. • Optional certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Terraform Associate, Kubernetes Certified Administrator.
