**Job title:** Director, Enterprise Strategy
**Role Summary:**
Lead the development, execution, and communication of the organization’s enterprise strategy, ensuring alignment with long‑term goals, resilience, and emerging risks. Drive cross‑functional initiatives, embed foresight and scenario planning, and produce concise strategic insights for senior leaders and the Board.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver annual strategy cycle and related board materials within defined timelines.
- Influence senior decision‑makers through clear, data‑driven insights.
- Foster a high‑performance strategy & risk team, mentored analysts, and a culture of continuous improvement.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Strategic Leadership (70%)**
- Own enterprise strategy evolution, annual cycle, and strategic planning outputs.
- Facilitate Strategic Initiative Groups, framing issues, producing options, and tracking outcomes.
- Integrate foresight, scenario thinking, and “strategy on a page” frameworks.
- Create and present concise, insightful materials for Executive Team and Board.
- Engage across the organization to gather insights, monitor signals, and support decision‑making.
2. **Enterprise Risk (20%)**
- Contribute to the Annual Risk Report, highlighting strategic risks, opportunities, and resilience themes.
- Link risk assessment to strategic choices and execution plans.
- Develop a Total Enterprise Approach, unifying financial, operational, human, and tech perspectives.
- Analyze cross‑enterprise risks with senior leaders across functional areas.
3. **Leadership & Capability Building (10%)**
- Mentor and coach analysts, demonstrating structured problem‑solving and high‑quality analysis.
- Design dashboards, tools, and processes to drive data‑driven, transparent strategy and risk.
- Champion technology, analytics, and AI to streamline insights and workflows.
**Required Skills:**
- Strategic thinking with structured problem‑solving capabilities.
- Strong analytical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and visual communication; ability to translate complexity into clear insights.
- Influential leadership; capable of working independently and guiding senior leaders.
- Knowledge of scenario planning, foresight, and enterprise risk frameworks.
- Comfortable with data analytics, dashboards, and emerging tech (AI/ML).
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- 10+ years in strategy, management consulting, or enterprise planning (investment or risk experience a plus).
- Graduate degree (MBA, MDes, or equivalent) in strategy, business, design, or innovation.
- CFA or similar professional credentials considered an asset.
