Job Title: Senior Commercial Data Analyst Role Summary Lead the commercial data strategy for a finance provider serving major retail partners. Own pricing, experimentation, and data product development to drive profitability, customer value, and regulatory compliance. Report directly to the CEO and influence senior commercial and product stakeholders across the organization. Expectations • Deliver measurable commercial impact through pricing optimisation and experimentation. • Modernise BI from Excel to Tableau and implement advanced dashboards and segmentation systems. • Champion data quality, governance, and compliance with Consumer Duty, FCA, and financial promotion rules. • Lead a multidisciplinary analytics team and foster cross‑functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities • Act as Data Product Owner: define and prioritize data‑enabled initiatives aligned with commercial goals. • Own pricing strategy for APR tiers, promotions, and eligibility rules; run rigorous pricing experiments. • Design and manage A/B and multivariate testing frameworks across web, app, and in‑store channels. • Improve the credit product funnel (application → activation) through test‑driven enhancements. • Build and maintain scorecards, dashboards, and segmentation engines that inform partner strategies. • Standardise metrics, instrumentation, and measurement cadence for consistent reporting. • Lead finance, product, digital, risk, and promotion teams in data‑driven decision‑making. • Represent the organisation in joint governance forums with retail partners to secure buy‑in and unlock change. • Ensure full auditability of pricing decisions and experimentation activities. • Drive organisational uplift in insight generation, reporting, and data literacy. Required Skills • Expertise in pricing optimisation, market‑mix modelling, and statistical experimentation. • Strong analytical background (data science, statistical modelling, machine learning). • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Tableau; experience with modern BI platforms. • Proven ability to translate analytical insights into commercial actions that improve sales, NBI, and customer value. • Experience leading cross‑functional teams and influencing executive stakeholders. • Deep understanding of Consumer Duty, FCA, affordability, and financial promotion compliance. • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills. • Familiarity with credit lifecycle, CLM/CRM systems, and digital/brick‑and‑mortar data integration.
