**Job Title**: AI Research Engineer **Role Summary**: Responsible for developing, testing, and deploying advanced imitation‑learning and reinforcement‑learning algorithms on humanoid robots. Designs policies for locomotion, manipulation, and dynamic interactions, and builds scalable training pipelines and simulation environments to transfer research to production. **Expectations**: Deliver robust, production‑ready control policies that enable humanoid robots to perform real‑world tasks. Provide reproducible experiments, maintain high‑quality code, and collaborate cross‑functionally with robotics software and AI teams. **Key Responsibilities**: - Design, train, and deploy policies for locomotion, manipulation, and dynamic interaction on humanoid robots. - Build and maintain reinforcement‑learning infrastructure, including training pipelines and evaluation frameworks. - Create and refine simulation environments and tasks to support policy training and transfer. - Develop and evaluate imitation‑learning methods (e.g., DiffusionPolicy). - Work with robotics data collection for manipulation tasks, executing experiments on hardware. - Collaborate with robotics software and AI engineering teams to move policies from research to production. **Required Skills**: - 3+ years experience in learning‑from‑demonstration techniques. - Strong Python programming; proficiency in PyTorch and deep‑learning libraries. - Familiarity with modern imitation‑learning tools (e.g., DiffusionPolicy). - Experience with robot data collection, hardware testing, and manipulation task deployment. - Ability to write clean, maintainable, high‑performance code in Python. - Collaborative mindset, comfortable in fast‑paced environments, delivering safe and high‑quality software. **Required Education & Certifications**: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred). - Willingness to pursue or hold advanced degrees (MS/PhD) is highly desirable. - Publications in top ML or robotics conferences are a plus.
