Job Title: Payroll Accounting Intern Role Summary: Short‑term internship focused on supporting payroll accounting functions for clients, including T4 preparation, reconciliation with CRA balances, file transmission, billing assistance, and responsive client communication. Expectations: • Current enrollment in a post‑secondary diploma or degree program in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field. • High proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. • Strong analytical mindset and proactive problem‑solving. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with integrity. • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment, managing time effectively, and working independently while collaborating with teammates. Key Responsibilities: • Respond to client year‑end inquiries via email. • Draft and file T4 statements. • Reconcile company payroll totals against CRA balances. • Investigate and resolve any variances, communicating findings to clients. • Transmit T4 files to the CRA and upload them to client accounts within the system. • Assist with client billing for payroll services. • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the payroll accounting team.
