Job Description
Job Title Finance Intern – Global Finance (Amplify U) Role Summary 18‑month paid internship within UMG UK’s Global Finance team. Interns rotate between Global Financial Reporting and FP&A, contributing to monthly consolidation, reporting, analysis and supporting global finance processes. Expectations - Age 18+ with strong interest in a music‑industry finance career. - Pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related field. - Demonstrated analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work across international teams. - Effective written and spoken English communication; proactive, collaborative mindset. Key Responsibilities - Assist Global Financial Reporting: coordinate monthly, quarterly, forecast and plan consolidations; collect, validate and consolidate data from finance teams worldwide; perform reconciliations; prepare reports and analysis. - Support development and maintenance of monthly processes and controls. - Participate in FP&A: extract key reports from systems; prepare monthly management presentations; conduct ad‑hoc analysis; provide commentary on group and market‑level focus areas. - Monitor and maintain finance system rules and parameters. - Deliver off‑cycle support to the Global FP&A team and other finance initiatives. - Engage in structured learning, coaching, and soft‑skills workshops. Required Skills - Strong Excel proficiency and data consolidation skills. - Ability to analyze financial information and perform reconciliations. - Understanding of financial reporting and FP&A concepts. - Good written and verbal communication in English. - Collaborative, proactive, detail‑oriented, and adaptable to dynamic environments. Required Education & Certifications - Current enrollment in or completion of a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a closely related discipline. - No specific professional certifications required.
