**Job Title**: Business Analyst
**Role Summary**:
Lead requirements gathering, documentation, and validation for technology solutions in a global music royalty platform, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs through agile practices.
**Expectations**:
* Engage with business owners, project managers, and development teams to define, prioritize, and refine user stories.
* Champion clear, testable acceptance criteria using BDD/Gherkin.
* Mentor teammates, promote best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement.
**Key Responsibilities**:
* Define functional requirements and user stories, converting business needs into clear acceptance criteria.
* Conduct detailed technical analysis and scope activities for new application capabilities.
* Facilitate workshops, sprint ceremonies, and backlog grooming sessions.
* Create end‑user and technical documentation, including wireframes when needed.
* Identify and remove impediments; ensure team focus on sprint goals.
* Collaborate across BAs, QA, product owners, and dev leads to validate requirements and manage integration across systems.
* Support user acceptance testing and oversee demos to confirm requirement fulfillment.
**Required Skills**:
* Proven experience in full software delivery lifecycle: gathering requirements, backlog management, release planning, and user acceptance testing.
* Strong command of BDD/Gherkin, user story mapping, and acceptance criteria development.
* Knowledge of systems integration, data modeling, API design, and micro‑services architecture.
* Familiarity with programming constraints, testing types (system, unit, integration, interface), and code review best practices.
* Proficiency in business process modeling and data flow diagramming.
* Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Agile/Scrum experience with sprint planning, showcases, and retrospectives.
**Required Education & Certifications**:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analysis, or related field (or equivalent industry experience).
* Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or Agile certifications (CSM, PMI-ACP) preferred.
