Job Description
Job Title: Mid‑Level IT Technician Role Summary: Provide tier‑1 and tier‑2 technical support, install and maintain data infrastructure, and configure networks, servers, and cloud services. Resolve client incidents, document solutions, and collaborate with management to ensure service quality. Expectations: Deliver reliable on‑site and remote support, manage structured cabling projects, troubleshoot Windows and Office 365 environments, and support VoIP, CCTV, and Wi‑Fi systems. Work flexibly to meet client schedules and maintain accurate installation and incident records. Key Responsibilities: - Handle first‑line and escalated IT support tickets for clients. - Install, configure, and maintain copper/fibre cabling, patch panels, racks, switches, routers, and wireless networks. - Manage Windows servers and Office 365 environments, including security and performance tuning. - Configure and troubleshoot VoIP, CCTV, and other client‑specific systems. - Maintain detailed documentation of installations, incidents, and resolutions. - Communicate clearly with clients and internal teams to coordinate service delivery. - Provide occasional on‑call or flexible hours to support client needs. Required Skills: - Mid‑level IT technician experience with client‑facing support duties. - Strong knowledge of network and server infrastructure (Windows, Linux optional). - Practical experience in cabling, patch panels, racks, and hardware installation. - Familiarity with VoIP, CCTV, Wi‑Fi, and wireless technologies. - Proficiency in troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and independent work. - Excellent verbal and written communication; client‑service orientation. Required Education & Certifications: - Minimum of a high‑school diploma or equivalent; post‑secondary coursework in information technology preferred. - Technical certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSA), or equivalent (preferred but not mandatory).
