Job Title: Construction Site Supervisor
Role Summary: Oversees on‑site construction for a large Renewable Energy project, ensuring all safety, quality, schedule, and environmental standards are met, coordinating contractors and stakeholders, and providing accurate progress reporting.
Expectations: Deliver work in line with project specifications, maintain safety and environmental compliance, manage risks, support continuous improvement, and communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily site activities to satisfy Safety, Quality, Schedule, and Environmental requirements.
- Coordinate work with contractors and consultants, ensuring required safety documentation is current.
- Verify construction progress and reflect programme accurately in project documentation.
- Produce daily diaries and weekly status reports for project management.
- Liaise with local authorities, statutory bodies, landowners, tenants, community groups, and stakeholders.
- Attend joint briefings, inspections, audits, and supply‑chain meetings.
- Identify and report project risks, escalating matters appropriately.
- Collaborate with Technical, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and Project Services to support procurement and delivery of works packages.
- Capture lessons learned to aid continuous improvement and knowledge management initiatives.
Required Skills:
- Engineering trade or supervisor qualification (e.g., City and Guilds, CITB).
- Safety qualifications (SSTS, SMSTS, NEBOSH).
- Ability to review SSoW, RAMS, PoWRA, and mitigation plans; conduct safety and quality audits and inspections; enforce corrective actions.
- Solid understanding of major project management functions (definition, planning, cost, risk, quality, commercial).
- Proficient IT skills for daily diary maintenance and weekly reporting.
- Participation in constructability reviews and lessons‑learned sessions.
- Strong communication with project team, contractors, and third parties.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Engineering Trade/Supervisor qualification (City and Guilds, CITB, or equivalent).
- Safety qualifications: SSTS, SMSTS, and NEBOSH.
