Job Description
Job title: Private Equity / Investment Banking Intern‑Analyst – Corporate Development / Mentorship Program Role Summary: 6‑month, full‑time, virtual internship focused on corporate development within a private equity fund. Intern‑analysts conduct market and industry research, build and maintain databases, perform financial analysis of technology companies, develop presentations, and engage directly with company management teams and senior management directors. Expectations: - Unpaid, full‑time (7:00 am–5:00 pm PT) commitment with daily Zoom meetings from 7:00 am–10:00 am PT, Monday–Friday. - 100‑percent remote execution; must be legally domiciled in the United States. - 6‑month duration, starting 7 Jan 2026. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct market research and industry analysis for private equity transactions. - Proactively reach out to emerging tech company management via phone and email. - Create, update, and manage company and industry databases. - Develop corporate presentations and detailed industry analyses. - Perform financial modeling and valuation of companies in Digital Media, Cybersecurity, and SaaS. - Complete structured learning modules on private equity and investment banking topics. - Collaborate daily with Senior Managing Directors and other team members. Required Skills: - Excellent verbal and written communication. - Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. - Advanced internet research and data sourcing abilities. - Strong leadership and cross‑functional collaboration skills. - Proactive, self‑starter with ability to work extended periods independently. - Creative problem‑solving and “outside‑the‑box” thinking. - High work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to adding value. - Knowledge of corporate finance and accounting preferred. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field (or equivalent work experience). - No specific certifications required; financial modeling and valuation knowledge is highly desirable.
