Job Description
Job Title Human Resources Intern, Spring 2026 Role Summary The internship supports talent acquisition, onboarding operations, and culture/benefits initiatives in a 10‑week, part‑time program. Responsibilities include managing job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, applicant tracking, onboarding documentation, benefits communications, and participation in special HR projects to enhance employee experience. Expectations - 10‑week duration (January 20 – March 27) - Up to 20 hours per week, hybrid schedule with at least 2 days on‑site in Washington, D.C. - Paid internship (USD 18–20 per hour), possible academic credit Key Responsibilities - Assist with job postings, candidate sourcing, and resume screening - Coordinate interview scheduling and communicate with candidates - Maintain applicant tracking system and generate recruitment reports - Prepare onboarding materials, track completion of required forms, and support new‑hire integration - Draft and post job descriptions for new positions in collaboration with department leaders - Contribute to employee engagement and culture initiatives - Manage benefits‑related communications and administrative tasks - Participate in ad‑hoc HR projects as assigned Required Skills - Strong attention to detail and organizational ability - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Interpersonal skills and ability to handle confidential information with discretion - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with HR information systems is a plus - Ability to work independently and within a team environment Required Education & Certifications - Current college or graduate student, or recent graduate, in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field - U.S. work authorization (CPT and/or OPT) is required.
