Job Description
Job Title: Vice President, Global Sales Role Summary: Senior sales leader responsible for driving revenue growth through new customer acquisition and expanding business within a select portfolio of assigned accounts in international freight forwarding (air, ocean), domestic transportation, customs brokerage, and value‑added logistics services. Expectations: - Deliver consistent pipeline growth with a minimum of 5‑10 quality meetings and 25 prospecting touches per week. - Maintain 100% CRM activity logging weekly. - Exceed KPIs for new accounts, revenue growth, and gross profit contribution. - Achieve monthly net revenue targets for both new and existing accounts. Key Responsibilities: - Prospect and target new customers via outbound calls, networking, referrals, digital outreach, and industry events. - Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, progressing opportunities to close. - Create tailored proposals, presentations, and rate quotations that showcase value and competitive advantage. - Negotiate pricing and terms within company guidelines to maximize profitability. - Drive market penetration in strategic verticals, trade lanes, and regions. - Partner with Customer Success, Operations, Pricing, and Compliance to design customer‑specific solutions. - Conduct strategic account reviews and business discussions for assigned customers to uncover growth opportunities. - Share market intelligence and competitive insights with leadership. - Maintain accurate sales activity records and deliver timely pipeline, forecast, and closed‑business reports. - Participate in sales team meetings and mentor colleagues on new‑business best practices. Required Skills: - 3+ years of proven sales experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or 3PL. - Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Self‑motivated hunter mindset with business acumen and strategic thinking. - Demonstrated success in new business development and revenue generation. - Familiarity with international freight (air/ocean), domestic transport, and customs brokerage. - CRM proficiency; experience with CargoWise a plus. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Marketing, or a related field preferred. ---
